THREE KEY POINTS OF TALK:

1. Employees must file certain claims of employment discrimination with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) or the Maryland Commission on Civil Rights before going to court. Who cares? You should. Participants will learn what this administrative process involves, and how to avoid getting sandbagged by it.

2.  The details of each lawsuit are different, but the process is similar in almost all cases. Participants will learn how a lawsuit proceeds -- so that you will be able to take steps before being sued that will give you the greatest chance of prevailing if a lawsuit is filed.

3.  What are the specific types of lawsuits that employees -- and, more importantly, their lawyers -- like to file against companies? You will learn the "hot button" lawsuits that lawyers are filing against employers, how much employees can force you to pay -- and how to avoid them.
