Join local businesses and marketing leaders for a panel discussion on the importance of a marketing budget. Topics to discuss include defining what belongs in a marketing budget, how to allocate funds, convincing the financial team, and adjusting budgets as needed. This is a must attend for anyone who approves and manages company budgets, oversees marketing activities, or is a part of the implementation team.

Chip Lewis is the third generation of his family to run PSA. He joined the firm in 1972 after serving in the U.S. Army and earning a degree in finance and marketing from the University of Baltimore. He has spearheaded the growth of PSA from two employees to 160+, making it the largest independent, multi-service, multi-discipline financial services firm in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area.

As vice president and chief marketing officer, Jennifer Alterwitz is responsible for SC&H Group's corporate brand, corporate communications, and integrated marketing efforts. She drives the firm's corporate positioning, branding and identity, marketing campaigns, public relations, social media, and field marketing programs to ensure strong connections with clients, colleagues, and communities. Jennifer joined SC&H in 2012, bringing significant strategic marketing and business acumen to the firm.

Erica Starr
Director of Marketing, 1st Mariner Bank

As Senior Vice President and Director of Marketing for 1st Mariner Bank, Erica Starr is responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic integrated marketing plans across all divisions of Baltimore’s largest headquartered bank. Erica has spent eight years of her career with 1st Mariner in a variety of roles within the bank’s marketing division, from marketing coordinator to director of digital marketing. She also spent several years as the Membership and Marketing Manager for the Greater Baltimore Technology Council (GBTC), where she led membership recruitment efforts, managed programs and daily digital marketing and communication initiatives.
